Cheap Laptop Computer - Acer 5100 Review
Almost 2 years ago I purchased an Acer 5100 used, on the internet for only $500. The computer was only a few months old when I bought it and the previous owner needed to sell it to pay the rent. It was an exceptional deal. On a side note, don't be afraid to buy a used laptop computer on the internet. I have done it and have been happy with my purchases. Sometimes people just need quick money and they sell off some of their toys for cheap!
As for the Acer 5100; I loved this computer! Notice I said "loved". I had this computer for well over a year and took it everywhere with me. The small, thin size made it perfect for traveling. As far as performance, the Acer 5100 had what I needed. It had a 120 gb hard drive, 1 gb of RAM and a DVD burner. It was a perfect computer to replace my desktop.
Unfortunately all good things have to end. I took this laptop on vacation with me in a backpack, which was a mistake. After I got to my destination the computer never worked properly again. Sometimes it would boot up, other times it wouldn't. In the end I sold it on eBay and got more than $250 for it. I was happy with the price since I had used it extensively for over 1 year so the cost to use it for over the year was only $250. Cheap Laptop Computers are out there....you just have to look!
